David Crowe:
Vocals, occasional keyboard, and rhythm guitar. I originally learnt
the piano for many years, with a side road into playing the trombone
for a while, but found my voice and creativity in playing in the
band. What we play takes me somewhere else, and is a perfect antidote
to work, and other stuff in life. I'm pleased with the music we
have written, and am excited that we have finally got to making
an album |

Steve Gamester: I first started
writing songs and playing in bands when I was 17. But by 21 I had
knuckled under to the corporate drum beat and music was left behind.
As a youth I learned piano and clarinet, then picked up guitar on
my own. Singing has always been a big part of my life, my first paying
performance was aged two! Church choirs and the Royal School of Church
Music taught me to sing correctly.... thirty subsequent years of volume
over technique have honed the voice you hear now.. |

Marc Schyrr: I have been playing the
guitar for several years, and even went through a dubious phase of
trying to master blues harp and fiddle. I like all sorts of music,
but its main attraction now is in its creative potential. Acoustic
Edge has given me the opportunity to experiment with song-writing.
Its great getting together with friends who are open to self-written
material...or maybe just too polite to tell me I shouldn't give up
my day job! |

David Colbourne: I can be seen wearing
headphones and twiddling knobs when I'm not playing bass and percussion.
I aim to write songs someday, but until then I'm happy playing, recording
and producing what the other guys write. I've always enjoyed singing
and strumming with other people, and the feeling of "flow"
when the music takes over. It's been a great experience to get
this CD out, but I like the journey as well as the destination... |
