Our first CD - "Close to the Edge"

(Click on each track to hear a sample)

Stormy Weather

Written as an homage to Thunderbirds...

For That Day

Marc says this is about frustration.

Always You

The only song on this album written in Guernsey.

Country (Written by - Paul Weller)

Sex in the grass...we wondered which of Weller's songs to put on the CD, but this one won.

My Love (My Life)

Took six years to write and thirty to get round to recording.

Carry You Away

A song about grief.  The recording is direct and raw - matching the emotion of the song.

That’s Alright Mama (Written by - Arthur Crudup)

Derived from the little-known performance by Macca.  Steve's multitracked voice exhibits the vocal technique which is known technically as "belting".

Perfect Day

We can say no more. (This isn't the Lou Reed track, by the way...)

Easy Street

Darkness and paranoia around every corner.

For That Day (second version)

The tracks have all been through many variations – this is included as an illustration of the process, which had to stop some time if we were to get the record out...

Ruby (unplugged) (Written by - Kenny Rogers)

A minidisk recorder happened to be left on while we were jamming after a few beers…not a technical masterpiece, but a celebration of what can happen spontaneously.
